I have a CUR-DLS running 24h a day. NO PROBLEMO !

But now I want to add a 160GB harddisk (ATA)

1. The Bios didn't detect it proberly, but my Windows 2000 server did.
Still I had some trouple (loss of data), and gave up.
2. Tried to find a new BIOS: On Asus (tw) i found a 1012 Beta 5, but still
wrong detection of disk-size.
On Asus (Germany !! ???) I found a Bios 1012 Beta 7. Now the BIOS
detects the disk sixe all right,
but Windows 2000 sees it as a 128Gb harddisk.

Questions:
1 Any idea as to the harddisk problem ?
2 Does anyone have chipset-drivers for the Serverworks LE chipset ?

Use a separate PCI IDE controller for that, say, a Promise Ultra100 TX2
with latest BIOS flashed. The chipset's IDE controller is not only
totally outdated (UDMA33, wow), but IIRC also flawed.
but Windows 2000 sees it as a 128Gb harddisk.

Win2k needs a current service pack to be able to work with drives beyond
128 GiB on a southbridge IDE controller.

Okay, a new PCI-IDE controller could be a solution, but still that's only a
question of speed.
Speed is not the great problem here.

As to the update, my Windows 2000 is updated with all servicepacks from
Microsoft.
Therefore my guess is that I need some kind of IDE/Chipset driver.
