I am looking to get this PC

https://www.cube247.co.uk/?customise=39

with a few custom options.

As anyone got a cube pc before are they any good?

Also I have read a few things that say the fans are very noisy is this true?

Please help before I spend £1000.

You might find this thread helpful: Link

I'm undecided but if it were me I'd buy from Novatech; OCUK; Morgan; Scan or Aria.

For off the shelf models I'd probably choose Novatech.

Yeah I have read through that not really anything to do with my questions thats all about a graphics card problem.

You asked a question, and what Flopps did was point you in the direction of other peoples experiences with Cube..You do the math..

The thread may have been about a graphics card problem but what you seemed to have missed is being enlightened about how the company deal with a customer's problem.

Do you not want to feel secure and comfortable with an online supplier before parting with £500.00?

I have no idea what their computers are like as I've never purchased a ready made computer, I build my own.

Good luck.

That thread is about 1 person moaning about them. I am sure they have sold more than 1 PC.

That link is for a £900 PC anyway and you said £500 so how can anyone comment?

If it is that PC you want then its a waste of money 2 x 9500GT, a single 9800GT would smash the pair of them and cost less, why buy a PC from a company that doesn't seem to know a lot about building a PC.

Also a 1TB hard drive, good luck using that for gaming as it fills up.

4Gb of DDR2 RAM, WoW, what speed and probably a generic crappy monitor with a slow access time.

If you perhaps list the spec you are after or tell us what you wish to use a PC for then I will be more than happy to help.

sorry I meant 1000.

If you could help me find a PC that would be a great help.

Looking for

Intel Quad PC.

Ram - 4GB or 8GB

Hard Drive - 750 upwards.

(What is wrong with the harddrive on the PC I listed above?)

Graphics Card - Something good.

Monitor - 22 widescreen or bigger

All mods cons speakers keyboard, mouse etc.

Budget no more than 1150 but would prefer 1000 or cheaper

Just found this
http://www.dinopc.com/shop/pc/22-10...d-Q6600-4GB-RAM-500GB-HD-9800GT-22-94p409.htm

But I will upgrade harddrive and ram what do you think?

Good job one of the available upgrades is 2 x 1025MB 9800GT's then.

Not many ready builds have more than that as standard, but again you can always add an upgrade option from the list.

4Gb of DDR2 RAM, WoW, what speed and probably a generic crappy monitor with a slow access time.
The RAM is listed as Corsair DDR2, I would imagine its 800MHz - the monitor is listed as a Hanns G 22" HDMI 5MS.

Good advice.

1000GB SATA II Seagate Ultra Fast Hard Disk Space whats wrong with that? I thought that would be good?

Novatech.:thumb:
And if you want extras within a standard PC just ask & they will upgrade.

HI,

Sorry i probably should have said more about the Hard Drive, my bad.

You would be better off getting a smaller Hard Drive for the Operating System and games and then adding a larger one for storage, as just using a 1TB for everything will really slow the gaming performance down.

Will have a look around for the best all-round pc and see what i can find.

Apologies for not being clearer.

http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?PC-1188VP

I like this one, it splits the 1TB into 2 x 500GB drives which is good, 9800GT, SLI Mobo, Q9450 really powerful Quad Core, 4GB RAM.

Make sure you phone them and have a chat, see what they will chuck in for free, you would be surprised, add a monitor and keyboard mouse, LG do some nice 22" Monitors for £140.

Seems like a good option from a reputable company.

Although if you can wait 2 weeks, til about the 20th then that PC should cost alot less as the new intel processor range is released so the ones we have now will be cheaper.

Don't really like the look of the Novatech one, can't really do anything custom to it.

Nice!

That Motherboard is a good'un, logitech setup is good as well, 4870 is a great card.

Hope you have fun with it, oh nice monitor as well.
