What has happened to this Ctrl+S shortcut? It is not working when using
Internet Explorer 6. It is fine with netscape and word and .... though. All
caps lock and.. turned off but still not working.
I am using inspiron 1150, xp home sp2.
any help would be appreciated.

thanks

I think it should be Ctrl+Alt+S not Ctrl+S. If Ctrl+Alt+S doesn't work then
right click on the shortcut then properties, and toward the bottom see how
your shortcut keys are set up.

"Save Ctrl+S" is grayed out right? I think that the implied question from
davoud is "Did IE6 break this shortcut?" I don't think that this shortcut
worked in IE5.5. I'm not sure about earlier versions.

Is there an answer for the OP? ;)

I was unaware of this option too! What does it do? When is it active?
Looks as if could be a way of preserving form data before sending it?
That would be really useful if so!

FWIW I actually would be less optimistic and just assume it is
an oversight which allowed a common dialog feature
which isn't really implemented in this product
to be left in the File menu.

Perhaps it would help to ask for an example of what is expected
so we could test?

Otherwise what I will do sometime, after filling in a form, is first
verify that the command is then active and if so use FileMon
to watch for writes to the TIF when I press Ctrl-s.

I haven't figured out when it is active.
