Ctrl key and right click does not select items from lists. When ever I use
this keyboard combination it takes me to my home page; ie om the internet. I
do nto know how I changed this function and therefore don't know how to
change it back.

Don't know exactly what you mean. Can you type example? Kind of list? What
program are you using when this occurs? Internet Explorer??

Yes I was using IE and trynig to select Specific locations form a list of
cities of the us. Similar to selecting a group using the shift & Right Click.

Sorry I can't help. When I wish to select something in a list such as
deleting multiple e-mails I use shift and LEFT click.

Have you swapped your left and right mouse buttons because you are left
handed?

Ctrl + Right click just does what Right clicking would normally do. Ctrl
adds nothing unless you are selecting text. That can be done with links but
you have to be creative about how you do it.

Shift + Right click will bring up the Edit menu (Cut, Copy, Paste, Select
All and Print).

Shift + Left clicking on a link opens that link in a new window in Internet
Explorer.

To select multiple files and folders:

To select consecutive files or folders, click the first item, press and hold
down SHIFT and then click the last item.

To select nonconsecutive files or folders, press and hold down CTRL and
then click each item.

To select all the files and folders in the window, CTRL + A.

After files have been selected, to unselect individual files, press and hold
down CTRL and then click each item.

Hope this helps. Let us know.

Ctrl + left click opens Home page in maximized new window instead of
allowing multiple items to be selected in a drop-down list. Running
XP Pro SP2 with IE7 and tabbed browsing enabled. No wierd nVidia
keyboard shortcuts.

NVidia Desktop is the culprit!!! Even with no keyboard shortcuts
enabled, this was causing the trouble. With NVidia Desktop disabled
all is well.

Update the NVidia Driver and you can continue to have the NVidia desktop
manager active without this problem!
