Hi everyone,

I've just reinstalled my Windows 2000 box, and now it appears that I can no
longer use the combination Ctrl-F4 to close a window.

At first I noticed this behaviour in a new piece of software I installed,
and I attributed it to the new version (even though that would be a strange
update), but later on I noticed that Ctrl-F4 no longer works for any piece
of software.

Does anybody have any idea why this combination no longer works?

Windows 2000 box, SP4, AVG Antivirus v7.12, AdAware v1.06, ZoneAlarm 6.1.737
....

Best regards,

Princess Morgiah

I thought it was Alt+F4?

Not really - Alt+F4 closes the current program, Ctrl+F4 closes the internal
window (MDI frames etc...).

I use Ctrl+F4 all the time, to close tabs in browsers, for example - very
handy.

Ctrl+F4 seems "very" picky about what "windows" it closes. Some times it
will close a window/tab and sometimes it won't.
