Best thing you can go is - get your installation disc out
(assuming you are using Windows XP) insert the disk into
your CD or DVD Rom drive and from the options go into
Add/Remove windows Components.

Uncheck Internet Explorer.........and hit apply (This
removes it from your system). Restart the machine and
repeat this procedure to reinstall it.

Contrary to what Ramesh Says Ctrl + Enter does work in IE
6. I had the same problem today and this resolves it -
however I am troubled with trying to save image files. No
matter what you try to save the image as Explorer only
lets you save as an Untitled bitmap image - People
suggested it might be a cache issue but its not My cache
is clean and I keep it like that.

If anyone knows the solution please advise....

Thanks

John,

Did you try "regsvr32 /i mshtml"
and
"regsvr32 /i shdocvw"

Also, clear your Temporary internet files.

I have the same problem, cntrl-enter just doesn't work
anymore.. It is so irritating. I did what you said, re-
installed to no avail from the CD.

Any other clues?
Thanks,
Aaron

Question: My CTRL+ENTER keys (which adds www.???.com to a word in the
address bar stopped working.
How do I get back this functionality?

Solution:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoCo
mplete]
"Append Completion"="no"
"Use AutoComplete"="yes"
"AutoSuggest"="no"

Changing "Append Completion" from "no" to "yes" will restore the function.

Ramesh,

Your solution, going to start...run...typing in:regsvr32 /i mshtml, click ok....then start...run....typing in:regsvr32 /i shdocvw worked beautifully for me!

Thanks,

Phil
