CTRL + click

In version 6.0 on Windows XP, pressing CTRL while
clicking on a link opens up the link in a new window.
But when you click on a link that would open up a new
window anyway, pressing CTRL causes a new window to open
up to your home page, and the link is never opened (is
this a bug? I have no idea who would want this!).

Is there any way to turn this off? Has it been
eliminated in newer versions? I use a pop-up blocker
that deactivates when I press CTRL, and this 'feature'
really gets in its way.

There is a free popup blocker whick automatically decides
whether you want a window to open. I have used for a
while and it always decides correctly. Go to
http://www.kolumbus.fi/eero.muhonen/FS/ to get it.
It is NOT the free surfer companion which you have to pay
for.
