Hi im a network administrator for a school,

i am woundering if there is a way to automatically remove a username
from the logon screen on an xp client.

Everytime somebody tries to logon to the computers running xp they have
to delete the old username and put there's in.

I was woundering if there was a way though, where when they press
ctrl+alt+del they will get a blank username box where they can input
there username.

Many thanks

Chris

For WinXP Pro you can prevent the last-used name from appearing by typing
secpol.msc at a command prompt to open Local Security Settings.
In Local Security Settings, open Local Policies\Security Options. Enable the
policy named Interactive Logon: Do Not Display Last User Name.
