I'd appreciate any suggestion of books or tutorials on CSS, novice level.
I'm specifically wanting to define table width, border color, background
picture....three different definitions for three different table types.

I've had several CSS books.
the hands-down best (IMHO) was "CSS Utopia" from www.sitepoint.com
they've got some newer books on the topic, but I still like the original one
best.

Thanks to all who responded. If I can't figure it out with these tip, I
probably shouldn't do it.

Hi Patty,

I have never seen that site, but it is now in my CSS Favorites!

Surprised nobody one of the very best sources of excellent CSS teaching
tools: www.projectseven.com.

Patty Ayers
Patty I ran into projectseven a couple of weeks ago when I was chasing down
"good dreamweaver sites." From what I could see it is dreamweaver-centric.
So it never occurred to me to look and see if the stuff it is talking about
would work with FP. But if the code that is hiding behind there is simply
javascript then I see why the other 2 FP people like it so much....
