Hi there,
CSC is client side caching which is the same same as offline file caching. Please take a look at the following KB for more information:
HOW TO: Implement Share Caching Options in Windows 2000 WGID:197
ID: 214738
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=214738
So, if you are not using Offline file caching then you can turn it off:
1- Open Folder Options from Control Panel
2- Click on the Offline Files tab, uncheck the 'Enable Offline Files' option and then click the OK button.
Please take a look at the following KB if you suspect that there file corruption in the offline files database:
How to Restart the Offline Files Cache/Database WGID:323

What is a CSC notifications window and why does it keep
popping up when I log off of Windows 2000? Also when this
happens I lose all access to my network. Any suggestions
would be greatly appreciated.
