Crystal reports??

Hello Everyone,

I am new to Crystal reports. I need to generate reports in C# for
PocketPC..So, wanna know few things: Which version of Crystal reports
I should go for???
and Is there any sample code for Crystal report provided for PocketPC
??

Ignacio is right, there's no Crystal Reports for CF exist now.

But I've got a few questions for you.
If there would be a reporting package for CF developed would you want it to
be able:

1. Design-time integrated into VS or have a separate IDE?
2. To view the on screen reports or to be able to print them as well?
3. To be able to create reports in the code vs from a template or both?

Sorry to tell you, but you're out of luck on this one. CR has a runtime
that's pretty heavy and currently it's not supported. To be honest, It's
hard to imagine that it will be, at least in it's present form.

Print them, in fact I think that it would be the only thing I need it to
do.

I don;t mind any of them, I currently create a couple of dataset in code so
I could do the same with the reports :)

One thing I consider very important is the performance of it, It should be
as fast as possible.
IMO the lack of printing capabilities or the difficult of it is a BIG
problem with the PPC platform. I consider that the platform is mature enough
to have a similar printing functionality that the desktop.

Integrated in VS if possible, being able also to print, both template and
code :)

Important also should be the different conexion options, like serial, IrDA,
Bluetooth and network share via WiFi.

Yes, we have been waiting for this for years. This would be a huge
improvement. Do you know of any alternatives right now?

The reason I was asking this question is that I have the reporting engine
partially developed (80-90%), but it is on screen reports at this point and
no design-time. It supports the templates though. So I was trying to
estimate time I would need to spend more on this to make a commercial
quality product.
