Crystal Reports Viewer question

I am running Crystal Reports in Visual Studio 2003. I have CR version
11 installed on my system.

I noticed on the page that the CRviewer has no "print" button in the
toolbar. I went into the HTML and tried to manually install the
"HASPRINTBUTTON" but this doesn't work. The "HASPRINTBUTTON" does not
show up in the "properties" for the control either.

Also noticed the changing the "HASCRYSTALLOGO" to false has no effect.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Hi,

Is this a web page?

If so the best way to print a CR is to add a print button to the page and
then generate either a PDF or an Excel using ReportDocument.ExportToDisk

Yeah, it's a web page. My first thought was to do it the way you
described, but client insists on having the CRV's "Print" button,
"Export" button and also to have the CR logo removed.

Thanks.

Hi,

You could do somethign creative like removing all the CRV headers and then
create your own controls.

Thanks for replying again. That could work or ...

The main complaint is that they don't want an extra step like opening
up a new pdf window and then making the user hit the print button
again.

Is there a way to print the Crystal report by automatically creating
the pdf behind the scenes (without user interaction) and then just
popping up a print dialog box?

Appreciate the help.
