I am trying to upgrade and it keep telling me something
about cryptographic what is that and also I am getting an
error message that says some of my files is messed up and
I need to use my windows xp cd but I have missplaced it
so what should I do.

Well your going ot need that XP cd' no matter what so if you
lost it, go out and purcahse another one. Another thing before
upgrading you should think about backing up your data first
and make sure that you have the correct drivers for your
internal components. Like modem, soundcard, etc.
