Cryptographic Service will not start

When I try to start the Cryptographic Services, I get the following error
messages:
____________________________________
A system error has occurred.

System error 126 has occurred.

The specified module could not be found.
____________________________________

What is System Error 126? How can I get the service to start?

Hi Rick,

Sorry to hear your problems with the Cryptographic
Service.

Sadly the fix at Doug Knox's site does not work for most
folks with the 126 error code.

I do discuss solutions that have worked for many others
who have had this 126 error issue...

Go to:

http://www.updatexp.com/cryptographic-service.html

Check out the end of the article....! It was only updated
YESTERDAY!

Basicly your issue will be with one of the certificate
service library files.... my bet is on certcli.dll !

This file is responsible for the interface with
certificate services... If it is corrupt/missing then the
service will not run.

But then again I could be wrong.

PLEASE post back with the results.
