My IE6 sp1 just ran a windows update and now my
PcAnywhere is broken. All of my PcAnywhere remotes are
yusing symetric encryption. When I try to open the, I get
the message "Reducing Remotes Encryption level from
Symetric to PcAnwhere. CryptoAPI not available. Object
already exists."
I have un-installed and re-installed the IE 6 update, re-
ran the latest XP service pack and re-installed
PcAnywhere.

Any help is greatly appreciated

It appears to be a frequent issue with PC Anywhere users... Try
submitting a question to the Symantec message board/newsgroup with
your PC Anywhere version # and see if one of the Symantec engineers
has a fix...

Ditto.

I have XP Pro / IE6 / PCAnywhere combo that is now broken with the
same message. Searching the web is surprisely not very fruitful on
this problem.
