Cryptic directories, sp2 subdirectory.

Hi all,

I have a relatively new installation of XP Pro, also using Office XP Pro. At
some point, in the course of patching everything up to date, a number of
cryptically named directories (e.g. 26544a1a526c4 -- several with longer
names) were created off the root, each containing only an empty directory
called sp2.

I am unable to touch the sp2 directories, even using my admin account. Does
anybody recognize this, or have an idea how I can get rid of the things?

Assign the hide attribute? ;) I wouldn't touch them or be concerned with
them. I only have 1 such directory on my drive though, so it's not as big a
deal for me.
