Hi, could you tell if the Crucial 1GB DDR PC3200 CAS3 (CT12864Z40B) is
a single sided memory module or a double sided module?

Thank-you.

I thought they were all double sided. I need educating on this - why does it
matter? I know high/low density can be an issue for some motherboards?

It matters because you can't put two double sided DIMMs on the same memory
bus and run it at 200MHz, at least for Athlon 64s. I have a an A64 X2
4400+ which has the latest memory controller. With four double sided DIMMs
I can't even boot at 200MHz, works fine at 167MHz. On Opterons that use
registered DIMMs this isn't a problem, the register fixes the loading
issues.

I'm pretty sure there is no such thing as a single sided 1G DDR DIMM.
There are 512M single sided DIMMs but they seem to be rare and I can't
find a DIMM manufacturer that specs single sided (does anyone know of a
manufacturer that specs single sided?).
