I know this question has already been asked to this group, but I haven't
understood the answers...
I need to build a crosstab query that results in more than 255 columns. I
cannot switch rows and columns because rows are even more.
I have read that the 255 limit is only for display, not for the actual
creation of the query, so I should be able to access these data in some way.
What can I do?
It would be great to export the matrix in a text file, that I can manage
with some statistical package.
Thank you very much in advance

No, in Access a query can return a maximum of 255 columns (fields).

You can export in groups of 255 columns by setting your query criteria up
correctly. Include some identifier (primary key) as one of the row columns.
Then you can probably use a statistical package to "stitch" the rows together.
