Anybody see any crossfire motherboards for sell yet ?

It seems odd that Newegg and others would stock X850 Crossfire Edition
cards without any motherboards to support them. Can't see anybody
ordering a Crossfire video card without the motherboard.............

See:-

Clicking on the motherboard link just now brought me
to a DFI page with the Crossfire version AWOL. Anyway the
motherboard will be a mere $239, about the same price as the
upcoming top-end nForce4 X16 SLI motherboards.

Seems par for the course for ATi these days, their desktop
PC business unraveling before their eyes. Too busy keeping
the Xbox360 out of the fire ?

On the Xbox360 subject, see yesterday's interview with M$$ VP Allard:-

Note the reference to a silicon shortage... not very likely to be the
PPC core... the simplified tripled-PPC core is hardly the
"leading-edge silicon" to which he refers. Since the Xbox360 GPU and
the R5xx are derived from the same core-design, the same silicon
bug(s) that delayed the R5xx probably also infected the Xbox360 GPU.

( BTW, not a very reassuring interview for those who have already
pre-ordered an Xbox360. )
