Cropped pictures appear skewed (disproportion) on web

When I insert a picture, I have to downsize it just a little to crop. I then
crop the picture, then downsize until I get the size I want. When I upload,
I dont' understand why the picture appears skewed/distorted on the web. It
is of correct proportions when I look at the Frontpage Design . . .

Don't use FP as an image editor. Use a third party image editor to manipulate your images before you import them into FP....resize, adjust, crop, optimize first then bring it into fp.

Sounds good. Just wondering why FP would have the tools in the program if
they don't work properly.

Actually, I created the picture again using a picture editor, cropped, sized
everything - then imported and it is still skewed!!! I'm lost. The url is
www.beachdistricttennis.com, and it is the girl in the upper right. Could
table widths or cell widths cause this?

The actual size of the picture when I downloaded it was 1266 x 1053, which
is considerably larger than the proportions on your web.

You need to resize the image to your specifications in your image editor
prior to importing into FrontPage and inserting on your page.

That file has not been sized correctly or optimized for the web. It is
382,75kb and should be about 1/10th of that size. Same thing with the two
girls in green!
Which image editing program are you using? some of your photos are just fine
but others need serious fixing.

Maybe their marketing dept is trying to appeal to too broad of an audience.
