The latest Critical Update, KB824145, has done something strange to the way
my mouse works in the browser (MSIE). I've uninstalled and reinstalled it 3
times just to be sure that it is the Critical Update that is doing it and
there is no doubt. Before the update was installed, one click on a blank
part of the scroll bar on the right would advance the screen just one page
down. After the update one click advances it 2 page downs making it pretty
much useless.

How do I change it back? I looked but can't find where this can be set.

Maddy, the exact same thing happened to me. I went to
the control panel, add or remove programs where it always
shows the patches that have been installed so that I
could uninstall it.....it wasn't there. So.....I did
install that update and my cursor is making 2 pages skip
but I have nowhere to uninstall the update. Help here
too please.

See the thread entitled "MS Screwed me up again !!!". It seems that there
are lots of us with that problem. I did find that if you go back to a
restore point (in XP) before the patch was installed, it will undo the patch
and the correct the problem.

Same thing happened to me on desktop, but not on laptop. Both have same
updates. I recently had to delete restore points due to virus, so I cant go
back to before I done update. Bummer. Maybe someone will come up with a
fix.
