Critical PCS Data Deleted

J

John Papendick

Several of our customers have installed, ran and deleted
their critical data contained within our PCS directory.

It appears as though the new release views our software as
Spy ware.

PCS Revenue Control Systems provides school meal
accountability software to customers throughout the USA.
Our install directory is Program Files\PCS . Everything
within the PCS folder is deleted.

I realize that exclusions can be place on folders and that
this is Beta s/w, but who are we to contact at Microsoft
to request changes?

I would be interested where to send requests and bugs also. I know for the
beta testing with WUS there is a place to do so.

John,

Thank you for providing feedback. I have filed a bug on this issue. As a
FYI, the beta lists the threat as PC Spy (Commercial Key Logger) from
softwaretrials.com.
