Noticed that when working with multiple open workbooks, if I copy a worksheet
from one workbook to my new workbook, then try to SAVE my new workbook,
BEFORE I close the workbook that I have copied from or moved a sheet from,
Excel freezes, issues critical error message, starts recovery procedures,
does not save my workbook as commanded.
This is a HUGE problem during my workday. I copy many sheets from workbook
to workbook, and need many files open at the same time.
This used to occur also in Excel 2003, but seems to be a bigger problem in
2007.
We have updated the virtual memory size on the computer to allow it to
determine how much memory is needed.
We have upgraded the computer to 4 gigs of RAM.
The problem persists.
What is going on and how to I resolve this?
Our IT department also does not know how to keep excel from unexpected shut
downs and has been unable to remedy the problem by installing all the MS
updates for MS Office 2007.
