In a query I have the following criteria: "3499" Or "3408" Or "3411". If one these is not found I want an error message to be displayed. Any help is appreciated in advance. Thanks Paul

How are you calling the query? More info, please.

A query will return rows/records. The columns/fields are determined by your
query grid expressions. How/where would you expect to see the error message?

The query is being called by an Access 2000 report. So when the report runs if an item is missing it doesn't state that. Thanks in advance again. Paul

When an item is missing, do you mean there are no records for the report to
display? Or that one of the records doesn't show up in the report? I'm not
clear about what you want to see and when -- do you want some message as
part of the report? or as a message on the screen to the user?
