Today saw probably the greatest one day cricket match in history in the deciding fifth test between South Africa and Australia. The visitors became the only country to ever hit 400 runs in a one day innings . But even that wasnt enough as the hosts fought back to mark their own piece of history and in the process win the series 3-2.

Great last over

I am and have always been a great fan of cricket in the UK and have been lucky enough to have been to most of the county grounds in England & Wales. But today's game has got to have been one of the greatest 1 day match's ever, the last over had it all. The Aussie's must be gutted after posting 434 and loosing. They had a crowd of 60,000+ it's just a pity the English game does not have ground's that can fit that many.

Seeing the Aussie's face at the end of the game was priceless they blew it and got beaten by a better team!

the great game

Once saw David Leatherdale smash a ton before lunch for Worcestershire against Somerset at Taunton. And at the beginning of the his innings two yorkshiremen sitting behind me said he was a yorkshire reject and no good, they seemed a lot quieter after he reached 100 and even more so after 200!:)
