Creative SoundBlaster Live Platinum (non 5.1) & XP drivers

Hi, I have the above card running on XP, I found the correct drivers from
the Creative web site and installed them but device manager reports the card
as a bog standard SoundBlaster Live. The card seems to work ok but a lot of
the "bells & whistles" are missing. Some of the software that was working on
98 will not run on XP. Anyone know of a correct driver for this card under
XP and is there an updated software sweet than is fully XP compatible? I
really like this card and the Live Drive II front panel connections. It
would be a shame to ditch it just because Creative can't get off their arses
and release some decent drivers that work properly.

I've got exactly the same problem - Live! Platinum (no 5.1) and XP.
I'm a bit ticked at Creative that they don't support this card
seperately - it was an expensive one. I just tried to send them an
email on the issue, and it bounced because their email system is not
working (great image for a tech company, right?).

If I can't get all the features to work, this will be my last premium
Creative product I buy.
