Chris

I've downloaded a file from Creative for my sound card. It
is Creative SB Live, the file is LiveDrvUni-Pack(ENG).exe.

I was trying to update the audio drivers as the orginal is
4 years old. Creative's program just won't work including
Audio HQ and an error came up telling me the drivers need
to install. Creative's sound program and it's drivers is
now removed.

The computer was still using Microsoft's sound drivers
already installed in the system and conflicting with
Creatives'programs. Microsoft's default WDM drivers for SB
Live remained there and they can't work with the new
programs including the mixer.

I know the only way is to delete all of Microsoft's audio
drivers for SB Live and then re-install Creative SB Live!

I'm not going to worry about doing any further as the
sound wont be any better anyway. The sound is now back as
it was and I am going to delete the downloaded file from
Creative.

My Creative SoundBlaster Live works fine and has for a long time in my W2K
system. All updates do well. Never had a problem. They have a newer
patch, now, too. I am using W2K Service Pack 4, also.
