I'm not sure what you're looking for - have you browsed the net to see
examples?
Here's a 2-cents worth, regardless:
You can create a background for a new, blank slide from any photo on your
hard drive
(format>background>picture/browse>apply) if you don't like the templates you
have -
then just >insert duplicate slide to repeat throughout. (just remembering;
may not be exact!)
I also think action buttons look great with a gradient that matches the
overall color scheme, yet
stand out enough to be discernable. You can also create a 'mood' with
fonts - use True Type,
and when saving, look for Tools in upper right of menu - embed TT fonts, so
they'll stay!
If you're talking design basics, then just make sure it's -
- Unified
- Easy to See / Read
- A bit of Variety here & there
- Not a garish color scheme
- Balanced to be interesting:
so the eye moves throughout,
but isn't 'overloaded', or too static...
