I am using Access 2000.

My database was given to me, having been created in May of 2000 at another company. However, when I backed up the database by copying it to another directory on my hard drive, the Forms, Reports and Macros all assumed the date that I copied the file; but the Tables and Queries kept their original dates. I had counted on keeping the dates intact, so that I could tell whether I created the item, or if it was created by the original designer. Is this normal? Is there a way to avoid this in the future?

Tables - No Change
Queries - No Change
Forms - Changed
Reports - Changed
Macros - Changed

Thank you for your help.

My suggestion is that you can put your personal notes in
the Property of each AccessObject indicated the Creator
and the DateCreated. You can access the AccessObject
Property through the Database Containers window by right-
clicking on the Object (Table / Query / Form / ...) and
then select Properties.

(If you use Access Security then you already have the name
of the Creator unless you use the default "Admin").
