Creating Windows XP Boot State?

Hello:

I use 6 User Accounts on my system, each of which use AOL v9.0 under a
different
screen name. Additionally, I have a primary account on which I load all of
my programs,
such as word processing, Internet Explorer, et al.

I want to know: "How can I create an image/memory dump/saveable memory state
which
I can select at Windows XP startup that will enable me to get up and running
at the
point where I want it?" The purpose of this is to save time - roughly 10-15
minutes
to switch to all User Accounts / load the AOL software and run my programs.

The "Hibernation" feature of XP is NOT what I am referring to nor what I
need in
this case. I need something that can be started whenever I load my system;
whether
due to installing a new program or unaccounted for system error
reboot/shut-down.

Hi there Chris,

You might be interested in reading the following article by Ed Bott. He
has a written an overview of how to decide what your best backup options are
and what to do, as well as some links to some third party software companies
that can offer solutions for full system state backups.

Personally, I'm a bit geeked over. I created a basic load image for my
system on cd, and push any applications that I need on a machine using System
Management Server 2003 once I join it to my internal domain. However, if
you'd like to save yourself a lot of time and work, as well as a few thousand
dollars worth of equipment, the above options given in the article are well
suited for your needs.

Let me know if this helps!

Best Regards,

~Will
