Hi,

Is it possible to create two users in XP so that non of them can c what the
other one is doing, I mean if user1 creates a folder, that folder should not
be visible to user2 and vice-versa.

Hii, the anser is YES! and NO! a low privilaged account does almost the same
for one user or two still for differnt group users to restrict access here's
the way:

Go to the respective user folder logged in as the user user proflies files
and other stuff are located in document and settings folder then go do
folder options scroll down & disable simple sharing.

You will notice a new tab securty when u right click the users folder go
there remove group users like admin or power users in selection add the
owner [user whos folder u are in] as the user and system!

Do the same on the second account.

and NO on certain things like if a user creates folder in say the root drive
that would be visible by other user but if he does it in his desktop or
documents it wudnt be visible nor be accessible.

Hope this helps...,

Do you have WinXP Home or WinXP Pro?

If you have WinXP Home, you'll have to boot into Safe Mode to be able
to access the Security tab. Further, because Simple File Sharing cannot
be disabled in WinXP Home, you may need to use a 3rd party security
tool, such as Doug Knox's Windows® XP Security Console,
Version 1.4 - 10/26/2003:
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_securityconsole.htm

If you have WinXP Pro, you first need to disable "Simple File Sharing."
In Windows Explorer, click Tools > Folder Options > View, and remove
the check mark from "Advanced Settings: Use simple file sharing."
