I am trying to create a secondary email account or profile in outlook 2007.
I follow the steps I used when setting my original account but keep getting
a message about no connection to server, I`m sure you can have two acounts
using seperate email addresses on outlook am I wrong or just not doimg it
right.

Yes you can, so you must be doing something wrong....

A second Profile or simply adding a second email account are two seperate
things, so what type of mail account are you trying to add, is it simply
another account with your ISP or what?

sorry for not being very clear, what I need is another email address that
still runs on outlook 07,
I have tried to add a new account from -tools - account settings - add new,
but I never get a connection.
I have also tried the same prossess via control panel - mail - email
accounts - add new. but still no connection.
I should be able to do this but it is getting quite annoying now.

When I phoned my ISP they said they don't answer that type of question.

Have you actually created the email account at your ISP? (You can't just
create an email account in Outlook - it has to exist at your ISP as
well....)

yes I have an existing email account but I though I could set up the second
one via outlook without contacting my ISP again I'll try them again and see
what they say.

If this is a second mailbox hosted by your ISP just like your original one,
then the setup will be identical with the exception of the sender address
and username/password credentials used to log into the servers.
