I am creating a still picture CD for my sisters Wedding. I have all the pics and songs on my computer and have created the still picture movie. I saved this to a CD-RW. I tried to play this on my DVD player to my TV and got an error. Is it possible to save this movie to a CD-RW or CD-R and play it from a DVD player? ,,, or will I need third part software to do this?,,, if so any suggestions on the software I would need?

My current Hardware for my CD/DVD player is (CDRW/DVD, 48X, IDE (Integrated Drive Electronics), 5.25" Form Factor, Samsung, Midnight Gray) if this helps

Thanks

Hi there,

Yes it is. But you need third party software that can create a VCD or
SVCD. This is all assuming that your DVD player can actually support both
the type of CD (+,-) and support the format VCD or SVCD.

The best start you can give this third party program will be to save
your current work as a DV-AVI file. Take note though that one hour of DV-AVI
will consume 13GB+ of drive space not counting temporary files that may be
created during the process.

Hi,

You can make something called a video CD or Hight-Mat
video CD. However, some DVD players cannot read these
CD's. My opinion is the video CD's are more trouble than
they are worth.

Your best bet is to use DVD authoring software such as
MyDVD (www.sonic.com). You simply import your MM2 movie
into MyDVD and burn your DVD. These DVD's can be played
in any DVD player.

Wouldn't you need a DVD burner to do this? I believe my hardware is for burning CDs and playing DVDs. My current Hardware for my CD/DVD player is (CDRW/DVD, 48X, IDE (Integrated Drive Electronics), 5.25" Form Factor, Samsung, Midnight Gray)

Sorry, yes, you need a DVD burner hardware to burn a DVD.
