I am trying to create labels by linking to Word. I can get it to work directly, but when I try to sort by ABC, it says "Word could not re-establish a DDE connection to Microsoft Access to complete the current task." I would really like the labels to be alphabetical, but they weren't entered that way in ACCESS. Is there anything I can do?

Try creating a query from your table, sorting it as you wish. Point Word
toward the query instead of the table.

Also, are you aware that you can create labels quickly and easily from
within Access? Just click Reports, then New and select the Label Wizard.
You can select from most, if not all, of the commercially available label
manufacturers by stock number.
