We currently have two internals LAN that we use. One is the corporate LAN
and the second is our development LAN. They are on completely separate
subnets.
We are using Win2K AD integrated DDNS for internal corporate LAN name
resolution, with client using a Win2K DHCP server updating the DDNS server.
That DNS domain is set up as the usual "company.com" domain name scheme.
The development subnet has it's own Win2K DHCP server assigning IPs to the
development systems.
What I want to do is add a subdomain (i.e. development.company.com) on the
corporate LAN DNS server. With this in place I will then point the DHCP
server on the development subnet to do DDNS updates to the corporate LAN's
DDNS server, updating hosts under the "development.company.com" domain.
I guess my question is what do I need to do on my corporate DDNS server, to
prepare it with the new "development.company.com" subdomain?
