Creating Hyperlinks

I have a form that creates a unique reference number of a Word document as
the user inputs information. The reference number will be from three fields
and may look like this "ABC/000023/2003" The Word document is stored on a
server named Index1. What I would like to do is as the reference number is
created I would like Access to create a hyperlink to that document on the
form and store it in a field called "Filelinktxt" The hyperlink should be
visible on the form so that future users can open the document from that
form. Can this be done without the input user having to key in the path to
the document??

Hi Tony, Where do I find the newsgroup, comp.databses.ms-
access. As I am very interested in having a look at the
solution. Have searched for an hour and cannot locate
it. If its not too much trouble could you tell me how
to find it or cut and paste it into a email for me.
