Creating hyperlinks across local area networks

I created hyperlink on my PC and it works just fine. When I tried to access that hyperlink from other PCs on our network, the file does not open.
 
Sounds like a pathname problem. This happens to me when I
hyperlink through a server's alias name. When you create
the hyperlink, use the browse function in the hyperlink
dialog and make sure you start with the network server's
real name - the name known to all your network users.
