Creating Groups

I want to create a group of contacts that I send an e-mail newsletter to. However, I want to send it individually with a pesonal note. I'd just like to have all the recipients in one easy place. How do I do this?
 
Do a mail merge to the group and they will receive individual e-mails.

....only you would need to use a Contacts subfolder or a filtered view of a
Contacts Folder for this, not a "group."
You cannot do a mail merge to a Distribution List.
 
Right. That is what I meant.... sorry. I should have stated instead of using
a distribution list.
