hi all

it's far handier than explorer for creating folders.

in vista doesnt seem to work, though.
any known programs of the like?

If you really mean it and want a serious tool that will automate your folder
creation tasks and reduce your actions to single clicks and key strokes, you
should look at XYplorer file manager. It has a lot of powerful ways to
handle the job. Have a close look at UDCs (User-Defined Commands), section
"New".

i'm not searching for an explorer replacement. i already use an old free
version of salamander (a nc clone) which is way quickier and often handier
than explorer (when you're copying to another fodler, you can skip / skip
all -- f.i. -- already existing files, which explorer still does not allow,
wonder why). works in vista, and with f7, like in nc, i can quickly create a
folder.

there's also many other explorer replacements, many of them free, by the
way. salamander also runs without installation. and trust me, if you're
copying many files, it's n times faster than explorer).

bxnewfolder is just an explorer addin. in explorer, with f12, you're
prompted with the folder to create, then you're focused on it. quick and
simple. nothing more. i dont need another total commander.

i'm oldstyled :) and when i'm not photoshopping i often use the keyboard
rather than the mouse. right clic > new > search among useless filetypes
(open document worksheet / excel spreadsheet -- well, sheet! :) if i want
them i just launch the programs...) is slow and annoying.

if you can reach for a w2k/xp machine, try bxnewfolder and you'll feel it.

thanks, z.

I believe you, but having XYplorer since years I don't need it. :)
