Having a problem creating an external trust with a windows
nt domain.
When trying to verify the trust I receive the message.
"There are no logon servers available to service the logon
request"

Kevin,

Assuming that everything else is in place ( like, LMHosts
file ), try using the NETDOM utility instead of the ADDT
MMC. I have found that even when you do everything
correctly when using the ADDT MMC it will just not work
sometimes. Go in with NETDOM and it works like a charm.
IIRC, this is the prescribed way for setting up trusts
with WIN2000 AD Domains and "Dowlevel" Domains.

And, you should probably be running this on the WIN2000 AD
DC!

HTH,

Try pointing all DCs both NT and 2000 to one 2000 DNS
server. That's how I fixed my issue.

NT will require a reboot.
