Creating envelopes

If I try to open the address book by hitting the address book icon on the
standard Outlook toolbar, I get the following message:

The address list could not be displayed. The contacts folder associated
with this address list could not be opened; it may have been moved or
deleted, or you do not have permissions. For information on how to remove
this folder … .

My Outlook.pst folder is in the standard location (… Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook) and the security setting for the
folder allow full control for the user in question.

Also if I try to print an envelope from outlook using mail merge, everything
works OK until I get to the part where I put in the address block. The
address shown is not from the contact I selected. What’s going on?

I'm using Outlook 2003. I removed Outlook as the address book then
reselected it, restarted my computer and reconfigured the rest as per the
site you referred me to. Even though I reconfigured things back the way I
had them, this did get rid of the error message; however I still cannot
insert the address in the address block using mail merge. Selecting the
"Insert Address Block" button of the mail merge toobar opens up a window
containing contact information of a Randall, who's not even in my contact
folder, and whom I presume is there as part of a Window's teaching tool.
Oddly, if I select the "Mail Merge Recipients" button, what is displayed is
the contact person I selected in my Outlook contact folder. So why isn't
this address showing up in the "Insert Address Block" window?

You neglected to post your version.
Read Help files or the KB on how to configure the Outlook Address Book
correctly.

Not enough detail to solve your problem. Sounds like you need to read up on
how to do a mail merge. If you want to use only certain contacts or use
Outlook fields in the merge start the merge from Outlook.
Outlook uses Word for performing mail merge functions. For an overview of
these functions take a look here:
