Hi,
Thank you in advance for much needed help.
I work in a small office and we just had an employee leave. For the new
employee who will be using her PC, with Windows XP Pro, I need to 1) change
user names and 2) change the name of the documents folder. Example, Old user
is KW, new user is TB. I know how to change user names through
Start->Control Panel-> User Accounts, pick account KW and click "Change my
name". When I do this and change the user name to TB,, it leaves the folder
c:\Documents and Settings\KW. I tried to change that name to c:\Documents
and Settings\TB, but I'm not able to. I get the error "KW is a Windows
system folder and is required for Windows to run properly. It cannot be moved
or renamed." By the way, KW (now called TB) is a user who is set up as an
administrator.
I tried to log in as Administrator with no password, but I'm denied entry.
Noone in the office knows the Administrator password. Is there a way to
reset that password?
Thank you for help in multiple situations.
