Hello
I have captured Video from my Canon Zr 85 on to my computer using DV-Avi
format. After adding titles, some transitions, when i am trying to Save onto
CD, it is struck up around 20 percent. I haven't done any trimming to my
video files.
Does this indicate any error with my video file or is that a problem with CD.
Thanks a Million

Hello,

The first question is how long is the video (time) and how large is it (MB)

Next question is...what software are you using to burn the CD?

If you are using Movie Maker you should take note that the special format it
creates is only playable on a computer. There are no domestic DVD players that
can presently handle the format (HIGHMAT) If you are using DVD authoring
software a CD will not hold very much at all as its only 650 or 700MB whereas a
DVD will hold around 4.4 GIGA Bytes or roughly double that if using a dual
layer system....so if you are trying to save one hour of DVD (VOB Files) to a
CD you will only get around 10 minutes on the disk...or if trying to save
DV-AVI file you will only get a few minutes worth on the disk...actually you
will not get any as the software will abort when it sees the file will not fit.
