Please help,
I have a PC with windows 2000 installed and some third
party applications.
Because of the various configurations and settings on the
PC which directs hw our Production Plant processes
materials, I want to have an exact copy of the hard disk
so that in the event that the system is corrupt, I can
take the image hard disk from storage vault and install it
on the PC and it works normal.

Question: How do I do this? I have a spare hard disk, is
there any additional hardware or software required to make
this work?

Please help.

You'll require software which creates images of drives.

Check the following sites:

http://www.symantec.com/sabu/ghost/ghost_personal/
http://www.acronis.com/products/trueimage/
http://www.partitionmagic.com/drivecopy/
http://www.partitionmagic.com/driveimage/

With regard to Symantec Products, which Ghost Version you use will depend on
WHAT Operating System you have and Win2000 will be ghosted successfully with
older products too (I think versions 6.0 and 6.5 support Win2000).

Good Luck...

Ted

PS: Please don't thank me...say a prayer on my behalf for I really need it
now!
