Creating a Table

I am trying to put a table on my website to position a
picture and some text but can't seem to merge the cells to
create what I want. I have a square table divied into 2
rows and two columns (four equal squares) Iam trying to
merge the upper right cell and the two bottom cells into
one leaving the upper left cell as is. But every time I
try to hilight the three cells to merge it always hilights
the fourth one as well. I tried using the eraser but it
won't erase the line I want. I want to have a small
picture in the upper left cell and have text about it
start next to it on the right and continue down and under
it. Is there a way to do this?

Not possible. Create a single cell table, insert your text, then insert you
image to left of your text, select image, appearance tab, and set the
alignment to Left.
