Hi,

I am trying to move an Outlook database from a Windows ME
machine to an XP machine. I went into the ME machine and
tried to create a .pst file. At the end of the wizard
though it said that the file was not a pst file. When I
tried to import it to Outlook on the XP machine I go the
same error message. I tried to run detect and repair but
can not longer find the installation disks. Does anyone
know of an alternative to move an outlook db from one pc
to another? We do have a network available.

Thanks,

Chuck

Easiest way is to copy your original to your other PC. To locate your
pst-file rightclick on Outlook Today-> Properties-> button Advanced-> field
Filename. On the new computer connect to the pst-file by File-> Open->
Outlook Data File. Then set the file as your delivery location. Tools->
E-mailaccounts-> button Next-> at the bottom Delevery Location (the last
names could be a bit of as I'm behind a Dutch machine at the moment).

Good Luck!
