Creating a mirror

Have a Dell Powervault 725N that had Drive0 die. This server is configured
with 4 drives. A RAID-5 volume covers all drives, except for 5GB on each for
the system. On drive0 Windows is installed, and it is mirrored on Drive1.
So, I moved drive1 to the 0 spot, and replace the bad drive with an
identical drive in spot1. I was able to repair the RAID-5 volume. When I try
to add a mirror for the system partition, I get could not allocate contiguous
space or partition. I know there is space available. There are three other
drives with enough space to mirror the system partition. Anyone know what the
heck is the problem?

I'm having the same issue with a Dell PowerVault 725N. Our Drive0 also died. We have 4 drives as well with a RAID 5 that spans all drives. I did not however move Drive1 to the Drive0 spot though. I just replaced the bad hard drive in Drive0 with a new one. Our RAID 5 rebuilt fine. I receive the same error when trying to add a mirror and I also know that I have enough unallocated space. Were you able to resolve this? If so, can you please let me know how you did it?

The OP wrote his note more than three years ago. He is unlikely to be around
after all this time. Best to start a new thread and explain your setup in
detail.
