I am using W 7 and Word 2003.
I am trying to create a single line document that will be about 17"
long.
I know I can't print this on my printer as it will only handle letter
size printer.
What I am hoping to do is create a PDF document that I can hopefully
bring
to Staples and have them print it.
My problem seems to be with the margin settings.
I set the output to Landscape, set the Paper Size to Custom, the Width
to 20 and the Height to 8.5.
I am writing one word at a font size of 150 but it is broken into 2
lines.
Looking at the screen ruler the total measurement for the lines is
about 15".

It appears that I am unable to set the left margin lower than 9"
Is it at all possible to accomplish this?

Thanks for any and all help.

Which margins are allowed depends on the printer driver that you are using. Seehttp://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting/bottomsdontprint.htm.

I am trying to print to Bulldog Zip Printer.
This is what I usually use to convert a .doc file to a PDF file.
I do not know how I can control the driver for that.

I don't know if PDF printer drivers have a nonprinting area; my guess is that
they don't. Using the test in the article I linked to, you can find out for your
PDF driver. Depending on the result, check for an updated driver.
