I have created my movie now I want to save it to DVD. I have a copy of Nero but it doesn't seem to recognise my .wmv file. Can anyone help?

Hi there,

WMV is not a good format to start with when you want to make a DVD. The
much better alternative is to create a DV-AVI file. I think you will be ok
with that.

You'll need to go back into MovieMaker and save is at a DV-AVI file. Nero
will recognize that one.

Nero DOES have a free plug-in available for wmv files. sorry I dont have a
link but search their site, download and install it, restart your pc and you
should be good to go.

That's interesting, I've not seen it, I'll have a look. As said above
though, starting with an AVI file is the way to go. WMV is already heavily
compressed, then to compress it again to be written to DVD is going to make
the quality of picture deteriorate.

That's an audio plug in though and after a thorough search of nero's site I
cannot find any mention of a video plug in.
