Creating a Document Flow Manager in Access.

Hi,

Any ideas on creating a DFM in access. I am trying to create a network folder where xml files are dropped and then automatically picked up and dropped into my access database. I can create a macro to check and import the file I just can't find a way of leaving it running. Is there any script (a loop of sum kind) to leave this permanently running and if so what affect on system resuorces would it have.

Also would it affect trying to run another macro at the same time.

Any help really would be appreciated.

Hi Greg,

You can use the Timer event on a form to trigger your macro at regular
intervals.

Access (and the other Office applications) aren't designed for
continuous unattended operation. These KB articles explain some of the
